Andrew, Cheri, Sandra, Elsje, and DeAnna, our seasoned senior stylists, bring a wealth of experience and creativity to every appointment. With a passion for perfection, they specialize in crafting personalized looks that enhance your natural beauty. Assisting them is Madi, our dedicated salon assistant, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for every client. Together, we're committed to helping you look and feel your best.

Teo, founder and director of Shambhala Hair Design, began her career in the late 80s, training under Paul Serville in Auckland. There, she earned national awards for her skilled cutting abilities and photography work. As a creative team member at Servilles, she presented workshops and shows, collaborating with some of New Zealand's most talented hairstylists. Upon returning to Christchurch, she joined the team at Sepulchre, one of the city's premier salons. Her journey then took her overseas, where she established herself in Melbourne before venturing into South East Asia.
Returning to New Zealand in 2000, she founded Shambhala at its original High Street location in 2004. Following the earthquake in 2011, she relocated to Swan Lake in Cashmere before moving back into the city at the Boxed Quarter on Saint Asaph Street for six years. Now settled in Opawa on Fifield Terrace, Teo brings a holistic approach to her work, drawing from years of experience and earning recognition as a Master Stylist.
